Health conscious food offerings may be scarce, and if you’ve been cooking your own meals then you will find it difficult to obtain comparable food. Vacation spots are typically filled with indulgences, and are occupied mostly by people who have come to indulge. If you want to stick to your diet while you go on holiday, it might be prudent to look into vacation options that cater to a more health conscious customer. Choose your destination carefully, and consider what kind of food options will be available there.
In the end, of course, this decision will depend on what is most important to you.
If you’re dieting for health reasons, and breaking your diet could have severe consequences, then it is probably not worth it to indulge on vacation. However, if you’ve taken to protein shakes and salads just to lose a few pounds and tone your muscles, feel free to give yourself a break. Vacation is, after all, about new and exciting experiences. Sampling delicious cuisine can be a huge part of any vacation, and it would be a shame to miss out. If you have the power to bounce back, a slight dietary deviation shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
